The Biomac Foundation For Victims of Global Violence is initially being formed to fund a three-year research and development program for its biometric smartgun technology.
The Foundation is responsible for completing the development of biometric access control electronics for "smart guns." Once the Foundation's smartgun technology goes to market, it will be responsible for the retrofitting existing weapons and licensing its access control system to weapon manufacturers. All profits derived from retrofitting of existing weapons and/or these licensing agreements with weapon manufacturers accumulated by the Foundation will be donated to victims of global violence throughout the world, from Detroit to Darfur.
These donations would be made through the Foundation's own auspices or through other not-for-profit organizations, such as the International Red Cross.
The Foundation's goals and purpose are in total concurrence with the National Rifle Association's continuing program to educate its membership on weapon use and safety, as well as their support of any scientific innovation that will make weapon access more difficult for criminals, children, or the mentally impaired.
