Should the R&D program win sufficient Government grants or subsidies, its budget could be reduced up to 50 percent. The Foundation has planned for this contingency by escrowing all donations until at least 1.5 million Euro is reached. This has been determined to be the minimum sum required to begin its R&D program. Should the 1.5 million Euro figure never be reached, the Foundation will donate all proceeds raised to the Save The Children Foundation. In addition, it should be noted that the funding of the Foundation’s R&D program will be a one-time affair, since its ongoing operations will create a stand-alone revenue source for the Foundation’s mission.
